Admiro que los perros acepten tan naturalmente la condición en que se encuentran. No reclaman y su serenidad para aceptar las cosas es notable. Al contrastar esta actitud con la humana, siempre buscando compañía, diversión y aceptación, nació la necesidad de expresarlo pictóricamente. Necesariamente debía encontrar texturas, colores y técnicas apropiadas.Elegí como técnica principal la encáustica, milenario método de pintura sobre la base de cera virgen de abeja expuesta al calor, más trementina y pigmentos. El resultado son tonalidades y transparencias suaves, serenas, calmadas, pero poderosas en sí mismas. El color es tierra de sombra y siena tostada, extracto de nogal, azul cobalto y amarillo medio, los que más allá de la sumatoria crean una atmósfera mínima, pero expansiva en la interpretación. La textura matérica, sin pudor, denuncia el regreso a lo simple, al pincel, a la paleta generosa, al pintar como oficio en el que se queda y se va la vida. Finding the contrast with human attitude, always looking for company, amussement and aprobation, the need to express it in pictorial way took form. As a requisite I ought to find appropiate textures, colours and tecniques. I chose mainly the encaustic, millenary painting method using melted virgin wax, diluted in turpentine with colour pigments added; which obtain mild, serene, but powerful hues and transparences. Colour is raw umber, burnt sienna, walnut tint, cobalt blue and medium yellow, which beyond the sum create a minimal atmosphere, but expansive in its reading. The texture, with no modesty, acusses the return to the simple, to the brush, to generous palette, to painting as an occupation where life stays and gives itself.
