En la pintura de Carolina, el color vibrante rodeado de sus propios matices toma un carácter protagónico al darle el clima psicológico a la obra. Su tema es el espacio, lugar ocupado por el hombre. Vemos siluetas recortadas, figuras humanas apenas esbozadas tanto en solitario como en grupo, el espacio puede ser interior o bien exterior, pero no están cómodas ahí; el color nos da la pauta del sentimiento que las embarga. Al observar sus series de pinturas constatamos que son la clara expresión de un proceso de desarrollo, una búsqueda. Cito el texto de su reciente tesis para aprobar la Licenciatura en Arte, en la Universidad Católica : " Quiero a través de la pintura generar espacios íntimos, profundos e inmensos. Por medio de ellos expresar la grandeza oculta del ser y de lo que nos rodea como tal, que exista consonancia de la inmensidad del mundo y la profundidad del ser íntimo". En su pintura nos llama la atención una sensación de desarraigo del ser humano , la angustia por ver más allá de su entorno, de salir del marco de la espacialidad que lo limita. English Colour takes the main role in Carolina's paintings, being it what gives them their psycological climate. Her subject is space ,the one ocuppied by human beeings. We may see silouettes, human figures scarcely delineated, lonely ones or in groups, the place could be interior as much as exterior, but the colour gives us the clue of which their feelings are. Concerning her paintings we realize that they are clearly an expression of a process of search. I quote here a text of her thesis to get her degree in Art at the Catholic University, "I want to build intimate spaces with painting, profound and inmense spaces. Through them express the hidden grandiosity of human beeing and what is around it; I search consonance between the inmensity of the world and the dephts of intimate beeing".We percieve in her paintings a sensation of lack of roots of humans with their sorroundings, we sense the anguish they feel to see further, to get away from the close space that limits them.
